Debris Removal >> Hurricane Damage

A hurricane can cause extensive damage covering a huge amount of area, sometimes a hurricane could affect an area of thousand miles long creating a massive amount of Hurricane Damage. Thousands of people's lives are affected by hurricanes every year, luckily there are only a few hurricanes each year, the unfortunate part is that they can last for days and in some cases longer than a week. The amount of damage and debris is enormous.

  1. Unlike a tornado that also in springs out of nowhere but is gone after a few minutes leaving tremendous amounts of damage. A hurricane, which is also from the cyclone family has the ability to last for days, relentlessly pounding an area with strong winds and rain causing damage like breaking windows, blowing in doors and lifting off roofs. People that have lived through more than one hurricane quickly learn that in order to prevent extensive damage to their property they will cover up the windows and secure the doors. They know that if this is not done it could result in Hurricane Damage with rainwater coming in through a broken window or through the door that has become unhinged.
  2. Roofs are sometimes torn from houses because the gust of wind will pound against the house and because of the way a house is built, the eave will create a resistance and the wind pushing up on it over and over again until they begin to separate. Eventually the wind is victorious and after the roof is tearing off it will begin to come apart in pieces causing a Hurricane Damage. Once the roof has been severed from the house the rest of the structure becomes more vulnerable. The roof is constructed in a way to hold up the exterior walls, but without the roof the walls are weakened and cannot withstand the constant gusts of wind and they will collapse.
  3. During these periods of Hurricane Damage the power will get knocked out, the steady gust of wind will knock over a power pole disconnecting the service usually to an entire area. Because the power company will be shorthanded they will not be a will to restore power creating a situation where the people that do not have generators or an abundant supply of gasoline to operate these generators. The refrigerators and freezers in these homes will not work and the food inside will begin to spoil furthering the amount of Hurricane Damage.
  4. During a hurricane, along with the damage that it can do to your home, it will also have the ability to up root trees, topple structures like bridges and buildings. This kind of Hurricane Damage will require an enormous amount of manpower and equipment, some of this manpower will have to be highly skilled in the areas of operating heavy equipment. More than likely there will be a shortage of equipment because of the amount of area that could be involved in this equipment may have to be brought in from other areas.
